In 1992, actor and producer, Okey Ogunjiofor approached Chief Kenneth Nnebue with a proposal to invest in the production of the first ever Nigerian home video film to be shot on standard S-VHS format. In September that year, ”LIVING IN BONDAGE 1” Africa’s first professionally produced home video was made in partnership with NEK Video Links Ltd.
This heralded a Continental revolution and the present Nigerian home video Industry (NOLLYWOOD) was born.
Since then, superlatives alone cans aptly describe the astronomical growth which the indigenous home video industry has continued to experience. A group of talented Nigerians began it all led by Okechukwu Ogunjiofor.
In 1993, this same man founded VIDEOSONIC STUDIOS LTD – A versatile 3rd Millennium conscious entity with a penchant for constant innovation, who has, over the years, more than earned her reputation for trailblazing in the Nigerian Movie sector with so many films, TV productions and Awards to her credit.
